“A makerspace is a physical location where people gather to share resources and knowledge, work on projects, network, and build. Makerspaces provide tools and space in a community environment—a library, community center, private organization, or campus. Where these spaces are open to use by faculty, students, and staff from a cross-section of content areas, they promote multidisciplinary thinking and learning, enriching the projects that are built there and the value of the makerspace as an educational venue” (EDUCAUSE, 2013).
What types of technology do you use at your Makerspaces?
"I love to use robots, VR/AR, and 3D printing technologies. My favorite robot is the Sphero 2.0 for now. We are in the process of adding a 3D pen for more artsy creations!" (Ms. Belt, 2017)
