Greetings!! I am Ms. Belt and this assignment is intended for an introduction to my technology course, on visual literacy. "The importance of images and visual media in contemporary culture is changing what it means to be literate in the 21st century. New digital technologies have made it possible for almost anyone to create and share visual media. Individuals must develop these essential skills in order to engage capably in a visually-oriented society. "Voki is a free collection of customizable speaking avatars for students that enhances class engagement. Our user-friendly interface allows you to customize the look of your avatar with a click of a mouse. Simply, choose your head, clothes, and accessories. Give your Voki a voice, and then add a background. It's that easy!"

Google Photos is probably one of my favorite tools within the Google Apps. I can upload photos straight from my phone and make albums, movies, animations, and more! I also love the ability to share these products with family, my scholars, their parents, and other teachers! Today, you will use the photos in the NatureBrigde Field Trip album to create an animation and a collage. You will need to click on the cloud Add to Library button to download the photos into your Google Photos. Next click on the colorful Google Photos icon in the top right corner. Click on create and then choose animation or collage. Choose the photos that best display how nature and animals express themselves. Post the link to your final product here in the comments section.
